Stamatis Iliopoulos ist ein sehr herzlicher und zufriedener Mensch. Er kümmert sich in der Familie hauptsächlich um die landwirtschaftlichen Erzeugnisse. Seine Frau und seine Eltern und manchmal auch die Kinder helfen bei der Ernte.
Stamatis produziert aus Überzeugung ausschließlich ökologisch. Seine Olivenahaine sind alle Bio-zertifiziert.
Er kultiviert Koroneiki-Oliven und auch Mavrolia-Oliven.
Ein kleiner Einblick von Dimitris Filopoulos:
„Greetings from Kalamata, where the production of olive oil is a significant part of our local history and culture. I am the fifth generation of olive oil producers in my family and as the tradition commands, working in the fields has been established since I was a child. The love for olive oil production has passed through the generations, because olive oil, due to its high nutrition value, has been the vital product not only for local villagers, but for the Greek people in general, in order to survive during the hard times of Greece’s history. Our fields are located in the village of Neromylos and contain 600 olive trees of the “Koroneiki” variety, providing us with about 1500 kilos of extra virgin olive oil per year. Eliminating the use of chemicals makes our olive oil biological, but without a bio certification yet. As my father retired three years ago, I am looking forward to upgrading our production and exportation opportunities and achieve his ambitions.“
Dimitris Filopoulos
Vater Panagoti und die zwei Söhne Kostas und Stavros haben eine Autowerkstatt in Messini. Ein kleiner Familienbetrieb. Auch um die Oliven kümmern sie sich alle gemeinsam. Seit 2004 kultivieren sie die Kalamon Oliven in der Nähe ihres Heimatortes in den Bergen circa 35 Kilometer von Messini entfernt.
Georgios Tserpes besitzt einen kleinen Laden in der Stadt Messini bei Kalamata. In dem Laden hat er eine Kaffeerösterei. Wer dort seinen Kaffee kauft bekommt ihn immer frisch gemahlen und kürzlich geröstet. Neben Kaffe gibt es bei ihm getrocknetes Obst, diverse Nüsse und Schnaps und Liköre.
Gemeinsam mit seinen Eltern kümmert er sich um die Feigenbäume die in ihrem Heimatdorf circa 30 Kilometer entfernt von Messini wachsen. Familie Tserpez hat noch nie mineralische Düngemittel oder Pestizide auf ihren Feldern benutzt.
